Room Cleaning... Ick

My room was a complete MESS. So I had to clean it. And in the process I found lots of Egyptian books and such. So I designated a shelf to present my egyptian doodads. And I have read two non-fiction books that I found, too. I collected supplies for Scribe-work, too. The middle of a canvas, some pens, a hieroglyph book, and some other things as well. Just thought I'd say!

Good Day!

As my first ramble post, I will talk about past Egyptian experiences.

I have read many, many, many Egypt themed books, fiction and non. I am in the middle of a nice one called the Egypt Game, but that is off topic (so is everything else, but let me get back to what I was talking about). I have deciphered the Ancient Egyptian sun-disc when I was but 11. I had organized an archaeological team at school during fifth grade, I went to the Met when I was, maybe, 7. I have gone to a local-ish store called the Dinosaur Store. Believe it or not, they also have an entire Egyptian selection. I have a miniature Obelisk and a statue of Bastet the cat goddess. They are so... Great! One of the hieroglyphs on the obelisk says Osiris so I have chosen to let that stand for Osiris, the god of the Dead. I have Bastet and Osiris... What a mix! I made a Sobek alligator out of clay once, to stand as the hieroglyph for Sobek, the alligator god. I have also sculpted a Tyet and the Eye of Horus amulets, the Tyet being the symbol of Isis and the Eye the symbol of Horus.

I have a collection of archaeological books and logs. I have quite a few non-fiction books littering my table, such as a translation of the Book of the Dead of Ani. A book about the pharaohs and gods, and a hieroglyph and symbols book. One of my logs from fourth grade is still in my room.

I would love to be a museum curator at a successful museum. I'd LIKE to be a curator at a museum around three hundred years ago in Victorian London, but not everyone gets what they want. ;) I at first wanted to be an Archaeologist and Egyptologist, but I then realized I hate sand. So, I will be a museum curator, an Egyptologist, and a grocery bagger to make a living on. ;) (<-- again)

Now you know my past Egyptian experiences. Here are my questions for you:

Are roses evil in Ancient Egypt?

Thank you!!

Good Morning!

Hello, hello! Wonderful day, mm? Well, have I got a ramble for YOU! I know it says posted by Raven Black... That was because I used this Blogger in another blog I did with a friend. I can't change it because then it will say "Posted by Dr September" in a completely different blog, so, I can't change it. Try to ignore it, won't you?

Anyway, I am actually not the month of September, nor a Doctor. I would like to be. Not a medical doctor. To exact. Not a dental doctor. To... Toothy. I would like to be a doctor in Egyptology, as you could guess from the title of the blog you are reading. Here is where I will ramble on about opinions, facts, and such. Oh, won't you be bored! You'll be bored right out of your socks...; Even if you aren't wearing any, that's how much I'll bore you. Feel free to leave me hate mail in the comments. Or fan mail. Whichever feels more appropriate at the time. Thank you!

I am no where near getting a job yet. Please,( even if you don't have a blogger, the settings on here will let you comment) tell me your opinions on my posts, the same subject as the post, anything you wish to comment on! Now, wouldn't that be something! Someone posting on my blog! I promise you, I don't bite, so feel free to comment!
